Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 7, 2026
Cinematic Photo ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at cinematicphoto.com (the "Service"). This policy explains what information is, and is not, collected when you use the Service.
Your photos never leave your device
Cinematic Photo is a client-side application. When you drop, paste, or select an image, it is decoded and rendered entirely inside your own browser tab using the HTML Canvas API. Your photo is never uploaded, transmitted, or sent to our servers or any third party, and we have no ability to access, view, or store it. Closing or refreshing the tab removes the image from memory.
Information we do collect
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard technical information for security and reliability purposes, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, and request timestamps. We use this information only in aggregate to keep the Service running and secure, and we do not combine it with any image content, since none is ever sent to us.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use cookies or local storage for advertising or cross-site tracking. The Service may use browser storage solely to remember your editor preferences (such as your last-used preset) on your own device; this data is never transmitted to us.
Third-party services
Fonts and other static assets used by the Service are bundled and served directly from our own infrastructure rather than loaded from third-party font or script providers, so visiting the Service does not trigger requests to external tracking networks.
Purchases and payment processing
If you buy a digital product from us, such as a PNG template pack, checkout is handled entirely by our reseller, Dodo Payments, on their own domain. Dodo Payments collects and processes the personal and payment information needed to complete the purchase (such as your email address, billing address, and card details) under its ownprivacy policy. We never receive or store your card details. We only receive order-level information (such as your email and which product you bought) needed to identify your purchase if you contact us for support.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children, consistent with the fact that no image or personal content is ever transmitted to us in the first place.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
